How are pickles made?

How are pickles made?

A common question floating around the interwebs is "How are pickles made?"  There are actually 2 answers to this mythical question!

If we're talking about the food of the Gods, then the definition can be found easily on Wikipedia:
A pickled cucumber (commonly known as a pickle in the United States and Canada or generically as gherkins in the United Kingdom and Ireland) is a cucumber that has been pickled in a brine, vinegar, or other solution and left to ferment for a period of time, by either immersing the cucumbers in an acidic solution or through souring by lacto-fermentation.

But if we're talking about our Pickles, then the answer is a little different, but just as awesome:

Pickle Tees, Tank Tops & Raglans
We select a premium, American Apparel black "ring-spun" cotton t-shirt (ring-spun is significantly softer than your average cotton tee) and carefully place our artwork across the front using eco-friendly, water based inks.  These inks become part of the shirt fibers, rather than sit on top of the fabric. They're also better for the environment, provide a  softer feel and are great for creating a cool vintage look.

Pickle Stickers
We use pretty much the best sticker printing company in the world for our Pickle Stickers:  Sticker Mule.  These high-quality, die-cut stickers are made of thick, durable vinyl with ultraviolet laminate that protects them from scratching, rain and sunlight!

Pickle Pillows
We LOVE our Pickle Pillows!  The 18" x 18" pillows are individually cut and sewn in California.  The pillow cover is 80% polyester and 20% cotton fleece which make it soft and durable.  These pillow are made to order and feature a double sided print, concealed black zipper and are laundry-safe!  If you order the version with the stuffing, you'll be getting a resilient polyester filling that retains shape.

We hope you've enjoyed your pickle lesson.  Now go Get your Pickle On!
